The Willmar Education and Arts Center
611 Fifth St SW, Willmar, MN

The Willmar Education and Arts Center, located in what was once the Willmar Senior High School, is a facility for both community arts events and the Willmar Public Schools district office. The building houses an art exhibition gallery and a 750-seat performance auditorium. Over the past 25 years continual efforts have been made to improve the facility for arts related purposes. A rehearsal hall, green room, and a performance shell for the stage with a state of the art sound system make it a welcoming venue for performances. The gallery space, located in the lobby area, is used for showcasing works by students of the Willmar Public Schools from February through May and exhibitions arranged by the Willmar Area Arts Council June through January.

“A Crafty Lady – Works by Terri Robichon” is the exhibit currently on display in the WEAC Gallery.  The exhibit consists of entries Terri made in the 2021 Kandiyohi County Fair in the Crafts Category.  The exhibit will be up until December 15, 2021.

Both Mary LaPatka’s exhibit titled “The Beauty and Science of Botanical Art,” and John Kellen’s exhibit, “A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words” are still available here.
